The Philippine Special Resident
Retiree’s Visa (SRRV) is

a special non-immigrant visa granted to foreign nationals or former
Filipino citizens who deposit a certain amount into a bank designated by the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA).

This visa allows indefinite stay and multiple-entry privileges in the
Philippines.
Eligibility requirements and the required deposit amount
vary depending on the SRRVISA OPTIONS.

  • Eligible Applicants

    • Individuals aged 50 or older who plan to deposit the required amount in a PRA-designated bank in the Philippines.
  • SRRV Visa Requirements

    • 1. Deposit : USD 20,000 based on the SRRV classification option
    • 2. Age : Must be 50 years or older at the time of visa application
    • 3. Health : Must not have any contagious diseases
    • 4. Criminal Record : Must not have a criminal record of imprisonment or higher

  • Deposit Payment Procedure : Bank Account Opening and Fund Transfer

    • 1. Visit the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA)
      • Visit the PRA to apply for the visa and receive a Letter of Introduction (LOI).
    • 2. Fill out the bank account opening application and visit the bank
      • Prepare the required documents and visit the bank to apply for account opening.
      • Required documents : Passport, LOI, notarization fee (150 PHP), and a local address in the Philippines.
    • 3. Transfer the deposit
      • Transfer the deposit amount specified in the LOI issued by the PRA to the following bank account.
      • It is recommended to choose 'Send as Our Charge' for the remittance type.
      • Transfer an additional 50 USD to cover any incidental bank charges.

    • 4. Opening a bank account and issuing a certificate of time deposit
      • Once the deposit is confirmed and the bank account is opened, a certificate of time deposit will be issued. This certificate will be used for visa issuance at the PRA.

      • - It may take time for PRA to issue the required documents.
      • - Accounts can only be opened after the deposit has been remitted and an application has been submitted.
